We travelled to Vancouver, Canada to film a sit down interview with the Founder of diabetes monitoring company Bio Conscious Amir Hayeri. After the interview was posted on LinkedIn, CBS News reached out to cover the software in an article. Their full news article can be found here.
I worked as line producer, photographer, and video editor for Dermalactive’s 2024 social content and business-to-business videos. I shot on the Nikon Z6 with Kipon Baveyes focal reducer and Pentax 67 lenses, while camera operator Maty Young shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6k and Ronin RS3.
I edited the 7-in-1 LED video and Instagram Reels in Adobe Premiere Pro. I hired the narrators and models through backstage casting.

In March of 2020, the night before the world shut down from the COVID-19 pandemic, I met Ashley Vasquez at a mutual friend’s birthday party. The connection was instant. Five months later; we were crazy about each other and crazy enough to start a coffee company together.
Ashley had a background in social media management and my background was in cinematography, photography, and animation. We created TBD Coffee Co. I drew the characters on each coffee bag label, took product photos of each coffee bag, and filmed videos showcasing the bags. Ashley took those and created a TBD Coffee Co Instagram page, ran social ads, and ran PR campaigns with various news outlets.
We started with our Per My Last Email Dark Roast and then kept creating from there. Fast forward to the present and the company is much larger with 12 signature coffee labels. We bought a new home together at the start of 2022.
In an interview with Canvas Rebel about TBD Coffee Co, I was asked to share a story that illustrates an important or relevant lesson you learned in school. I answered that I’m a director of photography and producer now, but I started off in film school.
I had a film professor who told us that when crafting a story, it’s best if we take from our own personal lives as inspiration.
If we imitate other films then we’re creating a duplicate of something that already exists.
We regularly film ads for TBD Coffee Co for use on social media. Here is an ad that we shot for Hulu. It ran for 3 months. The ad was shot on the Nikon Z6 with Pentax 67 lenses and a Kipon Baveyes medium format focal reducer flying on the Ronin RS2 gimbal.
While working as a content producer at Riot Games, I was able to travel to Worlds 2022 in San Francisco, CA at the Chase Bank Center. I worked on 3 major projects: fan fest player interviews, activations around San Francisco, and rehearsal footage of international celebrity musician Jackson Wang. I first filmed his visit to the Riot Games office in Los Angeles, and then filmed his rehearsal, wardrobe fitting, and preparation the days leading to his performance for the Worlds opening ceremony.
The League of Legends World Championship (commonly abbreviated as Worlds) is the annual professional League of Legends world championship tournament hosted by Riot Games and is the culmination of each season. Teams compete for the champion title, the 44-pound (20-kilogram) Summoner's Cup, and a multi-million-dollar championship prize. In 2018, the final was watched by 99.6 million people.
In April 2023, in preparation for the Worlds finals in Korea in November 2023, I traveled to Korea and filmed preemptive content to be released in the lead-up to finals. I developed a brief with my team at Riot Games and the best strategy to capture footage that would resonate with players while also showcasing the extraordinary work being done at the Riot Games Korea office. This video series also educated players that Riot Games is a global company and has offices worldwide.
Two music videos by Riot's very own a cappella group, Summoner's Riff, a group of Riot employees based out of our Los Angeles headquarters. The first arrangement is of the song Everything Goes On - a song created in collaboration with Porter Robinson celebrating this year's Star Guardian event. The second song is the Worlds 2023 anthem GODS originally Written by Alex Seaver of Mako and Sebastien Najand. Both videos were directed by Ben Boas with cinematography by Zachary Dripps.
I had a wide breadth of involvement in this series. My role on Super Art Power Hour as a content producer included the tasks of casting talent, building the soundstage set, designing the lighting, setting up cameras, filming, and then editing and color grading each 1-hour episode with the addition of 90-second cutdowns for social media.
The Riot Games Super Art Power Hour is a long-form educational segment spotlighting artists at Riot. Each episode features a Riot employee demonstrating their artistic ability and talking through their work. Each episode guests will share advice to other prospective artists on how to get into the industry, demonstrate top-level industry workflows, and inspire others by creating new and fun art. Some of the past episodes have included roles such as illustrator artists, 3d model animators, and character texture artists.
The Riot Games Seattle Office Video Series was a collection of 3 videos showcasing the employees working at the local office and the video gaming culture of the Seattle area. The videos were relased on Life@Riot LinkedIn and Twitter.
I took on many tasks in the creation of this video series, including renting camera gear to bring while traveling, location scouting, production development, camera operation (gimbal stabilizer operator, tripod), gaffer/grip, editor, and colorist.
Riot Games’s primary goal is to be the most player-focused video game company. “Player experience first” was a goal for every video I worked on. For this video series to be as engaging as possible to players and accurately depict Seattle, I cold-called multiple Seattle venues (barcades, museums, restaurants, parks) asking if we could film at their locations. I was able to secure 3 locations with owners excited to have Riot Games filming at their venues: the MoPOP Museum, Gameworks Barcade, and Mox Boarding House.
Made for a 2019 LA-based 24-hour film challenge short. Two naive men, the morning after a house party, an unplanned encounter in a kitchen, and an unexpected twist of fate propel them into a perplexing predicament. Enter a cunning manipulator, a Vulture, a story that delves into the influence of authority and how a single commanding voice can lead us to accept almost anything unquestioningly. Written and Directed by Mathew Young. Cinematography by Zachary Dripps & Mathew Young. Starring Alec Ebert, Sanjay Nambiar, and Dalia Rooni.
Shot on my Panasonic AG-LA7200 anamorphic lens and Maty Young’s Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k.
Every new Rioter is given a starter kit featuring gear designed by our amazing Swag Team. With branded items like a special-edition print, a backpack, and (of course) the coveted Teemo Cap, new hires start their journey off on the right foot—in style!
I shot this stop-motion animation with my Nikon Z6 and an Aputure Amaran RGB Fresnel LED light illuminating the subjects and the paper backdrop.
My role on this music video was director of photography. I shot it handheld on my Ronin RS2 flying a Nikon Z6. The shoot took place in a recording studio where we all shaped the walls and decorations with what we had at our disposal. I lit this shoot with a 20-bay grid of Quasar LEDs and a 2000w fresnel. Radiator King is a band comprised of Adam Silvestri, Brian Viglione (Also the drummer in The Dresden Dolls) and Alexander Burke
Radiator King is an American punk/blues band from Boston, Massachusettes. When asked about the name Radiator King, Adam Silvestri stated that it came from when he "titled a friend’s painting and it was suggested to him that he use that name for his next band.” Silvestri has been recognized for his "rough, heart-wrenching vocals" and gritty sound.
I originally connected with Fun Wine through Ashley Vasquez. She was contracted as their social media strategist and asked for help creating new content for Fun Wine’s social and online presence.
Since then, I have produced and filmed a number of social campaigns for Fun Wine. For most projects, I take on the roles of line producer, casting agent, photographer, and videographer. Between Ashley Vasquez, Devin Weakland, and myself, we produce photo shoots with a 10 to 20-person crew and multiple locations in order to create organic social content for Fun Wine’s next few months. This included reels and photography.
Fun Wine is Christina Aguilerra’s alcoholic cocktail company. The brand is inspired by music, art, fashion, and the vibrant culture and vibe of Miami. They collaborated with Miguel Paredes, a New York City-raised graffiti artist to create their labels.
I worked as director of photography on 6 episodes of Jubilee’s series Middle Ground. We shot on the Canon C100’s in a sound stage in Downtown Los Angeles. Lighting was mostly 2 top lighting sources that lit the entire group of guests at once and two spotlights for the “step forward” segments.
MIDDLE GROUND explores whether two different groups of people, opposed in their beliefs, can come together empathetically and find middle ground.
I was director of photography on a documentary-style commercial for Signal Restoration. This video followed the progress of a home that had been burned in a fire and the restoration process returning it to new. Produced by Lemonlight Media.
I worked in the production office for two seasons of Grown-ish. Some of my tasks included preparing table reads, coordinating location scouts, and data entry on start paperwork.
From the executive producer of "Black-ish" comes a comedy about going to college and learning that adult-ing is hard.
I was director of photography on the short film A Mission. Shot on Sony a7s with Kipon Baveyes full frame to medium format focal reducer, Panasonic AG-LA7200 anamorphic lens, and a 12-foot Jib Arm for smooth, calculated movements that match the character in the movie.
While on his mission, a vengeful Mormon Elder is pushed to prove himself-but, true identities are revealed in the home of a retired Bishop.

My first project while at Riot Games was to DP this dev diary for Netflix’s Arcane. We lit the shoot with 3 Arri L5-C LED fresnels which gave us e played around with color palette on both the subjects and the background. I chose colors that matched the city of Piltover in the show. We shot on 2 Panasonic EVA-1s and a Panasonic AG-CX350.
As an editor on the Arcane global ad campaign, I coordinated marketing posts for the Arcane ad campaign. There were a multitude of ads for Arcane around the world including out of home billboards, pop-up activations, Undercity Nights, and a European travelling train ad series. I assisted with editing support and aggregating clips from the show. A playlist of all the video form campaign pieces can be found here: Arcane Ad Campaign Playlist. I edited using Adobe Premiere Pro.
I worked in the production office on He’s All That. It was an early COVID production, so we had regular tests and wore masks throughout production. I assisted on set with some of the production days where we filmed at Palisades Charter High School.
An influencer specializing in makeovers bets she can transform an unpopular classmate into prom king in this remake of the teen classic "She's All That." Starring Addison Rae, Tanner Buchanan, Rachael Leigh Cook.
My role on Dollface was brief as a day player. I was able to meet Maria Knupfer on set who helped me greatly in referring me for roles on Grown-ish and the pilot Work Wife. I also met line producer Mike Gray who helped propel my cinematography career by putting me in contact with his connections at Panavision.
I worked in the production office on The Prom. It was an early COVID production, so we had regular tests and wore masks throughout production. Production took place pre-COVID and I was brought on for additional photography.
A young woman with paranoid FOMO discovers that her two best friends had a dream-sharing experience without her. Psychic adventure ensues.
I worked on the Dear Abby scenes of this animation. I composited in Adobe After Effects.
I worked in the production office on the film Palm Springs. We worked out of a trailer that followed the production to every shoot location.
One of my tasks was to work with the DIT to aggregate footage with Panavision Light Iron and teach executives how to use their proprietary dailies viewing software. I also completed purchase orders and COI requests for the camera department’s expendables and gear rentals. Another task was data entry from every cast member’s start paperwork. With this, I filled out a datasheet used to create the film’s end credits, compiled an easily-accessible emergency contacts list, and sent along payment information to the accounting team so everyone could get paid.
When carefree Nyles and reluctant maid of honor Sarah have a chance encounter at a Palm Springs wedding, things get complicated when they find themselves unable to escape the venue, themselves, or each other.
Starring: Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti, J.K. Simmons, Meredith Hagner, Camila Mendes
Director: Max Barbakow
My role on Centerpiece was 2nd AC, but I also rented out my camera as a kit for this timelapse which showcased the entire creation of the giant centerpiece and the final reveal at the end. My job also included prepping the Arri rental gear, setting up Teradeks, setting up video village, and helping the camera department with all production needs.
Visionary Florist and Host Maurice Harris interviews creatives about their process. As they open up about their journey, Maurice uses his incredible flower design skills to create a beautiful centerpiece that reflects their conversation.
As director of photography on this web series, I shot on the Nikon Z6 with a Kipon Baveyes full frame to medium format focal reducer and Pentax 67 lenses.
A dark comedy about a socially inept man who gets community service at a mental facility and learns about self acceptance, life and love through its inhabitants. Directed by Christina Lozano.
I collaborated on an “exquisite corpse” style animation project, which is when multiple animators show off their various animation styles and the art style changes as the animation’s story progresses.
I animated 0:40-1:10 and 6:10-6:40
I received my Master's Fine Arts degree in cinematography from Boston University’s Cinema and Media Production program. My thesis film was Breakdown. BU’s program was structured so that each student applied with a specific discipline: directing, producing, or cinematography. In the first semester, the students were paired into groups of three, one for each role.
The first two semesters, the majority of our work was prepping for the thesis film. We went through all the stages of production. In addition, each discipline had classes specific to their program. The cinematographers had extra camera and lighting classes with adjunct professors who taught them steadicam operating and advanced cinematography techniques.
We filmed in the Blue Hills Reservation south of Boston, MA. Every 11 years, caterpillars hatch in the woods at remarkable numbers. They crawled on the green screen, into the vents of the Alexa Mini, into everyone’s clothes, on the actors, and dangled down into shots on their silk webs. The crew handled surprises with ease and respected the wildlife.
We chose the Angenieux Optimo A2S Anamorphic lens on the Alexa Mini because as the characters in the film became separated emotionally, we wanted physical space between them in the frame. A 2:40:1 aspect ratio enhanced this composition. We chose a zoom anamorphic lens for the Vertigo shot at the film's climax.
I have worked as an animator and compositor for a number of projects alongside the world-renown illustrator Mustashrik Mahbub (Mush).
I composited these clips in Adobe After Effects. I sometimes created assets or sequenced Mush’s images in Photoshop.
As a camera PA on the Walk Me Home music video, my duties included prepping camera gear at the rental house, loading the camera truck, itemizing all the gear for check-in and check-out, assisting the camera operators on set, building video village, and driving the camera truck to and from set at Universal Studios.
This was a 3-day shoot, all night exterior shots. Although it rained heavily all three nights, it was a great opportunity to learn from the top-level cinematographer Jeff Cronenwerth and ask him questions and advice. I also had a few opportunities to talk to P!nk between shots while everyone was huddled around the outdoor propane heaters for warmth, and she was very friendly and in good spirits despite the cold, rainy nights.
Directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman, Rocketman) and cinematography by Jeff Cronenwerth (Gone GIrl, Fight Club)
I color graded the BTS footage for the Troye Sivan Lucky Strike music video produced by Dropbox.
